Stefano, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, underwent a lung transplant at the age of 45.

“Just one year after the operation, I was asked to chair a small association of transplant recipients, which had been founded a few years earlier. I accepted, despite the difficulties, because I thought that helping other people in need was the best way to show my gratitude for the second life I had been given.”
