The 6th Conference “Rare Disease Day – More Than You Can Imagine” will take place on 28 February 2026 as part of the Portuguese Rare Disease Day initiative.
The event aims to foster cross-sector dialogue and strengthen collaboration to improve care, research and policy responses in the field, highlighting the challenges faced by people living with rare diseases, along with their families, carers, healthcare professionals and researchers.
The conference will be held at the Hospital Doutor José Maria Grande in Portalegre, with online streaming available. The programme will cover key topics on rare diseases from local, patient, national and international perspectives.
The event is organised by national health authorities, research and funding bodies, international research networks, patient organisations, and scientific and healthcare institutions.
