A joint symposium of German-speaking countries on rare diseases will take place in Innsbruck for the first time as DACH-SE.
The aim is to network and strengthen the various activities on the topic in the three countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH region). The programme includes presentations on scientific-diagnostic aspects as well as on existing network structures and future developments. For the first time, it offers a cross-border opportunity for joint meetings of all specialist groups in the field of Centres for Rare Diseases.
Within the thematic block ‘Care landscape, action planning and legislation on rare diseases in German-speaking countries’, Till Voigtländer (Vienna, Austria) coordinator of the Joint Action, will present ‘How does the JARDIN project help us?’
The event is organised by the Rare Diseases Forum in close cooperation with the German Society for Human Genetics (GfH) and together with the Austrian and Swiss societies for human genetics and medical genetics (ÖGH, SGMG), the centres for rare diseases in Germany, the National Coordination for Rare Diseases in Switzerland (kosek) and the associations of those affected in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (ACHSE, Pro Rare, ProRaris).
