EXPERT MEETING «RARE DISEASES – PROBLEMATIC ASPECTS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS»
On the initiative of the University Hospital «Alexandrovska» with the assistance of the Medical University – Sofia on 28.02.2025, will be held an expert meeting «Rare diseases – problematic aspects and possible solutions». Partners of the event are the National Alliance of People with Rare Diseases and the National Alliance «Rare Diseases Bulgaria» – member of EURORDIS – the European Association of Organisations of People with Rare Diseases.
As the care of people with rare diseases is interdisciplinary, the forum will be attended by heads of expert centres, representatives of related institutions, patient organisations and the media.

Two projects of the Medical University of Sofia will be presented during the event:

Joint Action to Integrate European Reference Networks (ERNs) into National Health Systems (JARDIN)*
European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA), in which MU-Sofia participates through its Centre for Molecular Medicine.
The aim of the discussion is to take rational actions to improve the length and quality of life of patients with rare diseases.

The meeting will take place in the auditorium of the Clinic of Nervous Diseases at the University Hospital «Alexandrovska» from 11.30 – 13.00.
