The Conference 15 YEARS OF CSUR: PRESENT AND FUTURE was held on 25th June 2024, with the slogan: ‘Working for equity in the National Health System’.
The meeting was held in the Ernest Lluch Assembly Hall of the Spanish Ministry of Health in Madrid.
The first designations of Reference Centres, Services and Units (CSUR) of the Spanish National Health Systemm were made in December 2008. At present, there are 334 CSUR in Spain for the care of 70 pathologies related to the care of rare and complex diseases and they participate in all European Reference Networks.
The main objective of the project is to cover the entire Spanish territory and to guarantee equal access to all users who require care in a CSUR of the National Health System, regardless of their place of residence.
This informative and discussion day was aimed at the administrations and healthcare professionals of the autonomous communities, scientific societies and patients’ associations. The aim was to improve the visibility and knowledge of the CSUR Project of the Spanish National Health System, the European Reference Networks and the new tool under development, the Patient Care Network Platform.
Taking into account the connection between the CSURs and the ERNs, Dr. Yadira Bravo had the opportunity to present JARDIN and its objectives.
