On Tuesday, 24 June, the Medical University of Vienna hosted the midterm review of JARDIN’s Joint Action, bringing together leaders from all Work Packages for a full-day working session.
Structured across four sessions, the meeting provided a constructive space to reflect on operational and strategic aspects of the project, evaluate progress and challenges, and strengthen collaboration among partners.
The first session focused on coordination and internal processes, offering a platform to assess management structures, communication flows, and day-to-day operations. The second explored the development of the Joint Action, addressing progress against timelines, identifying challenges, and emerging opportunities. In the third session, the spotlight turned to outcomes and the evaluation strategy, with discussions around deliverables, indicators and the desired changes to be successfully implemented within Member States’ healthcare systems. Finally, the fourth session was dedicated to synthesising the collective feedback and outlining next steps.

Professor Till Voigtländer, coordinator of JARDIN, emphasised the significance of the event:
“The midterm review was not only a checkpoint for our progress but an excellent opportunity to learn from each other, adjust where needed, and move forward with renewed clarity and shared purpose.”
The conclusions drawn in Vienna will contribute to the refinement of project indicators and ongoing planning across the Joint Action’s second half.
