Traditionally, every year at the end of February, the VSOP (Patient Alliance for Rare and Genetic Diseases) organises the “National Event Rare Disease Day”. During this day, the challenges faced by people living with a rare disease, their loved ones, family caregivers, caregivers and scientific researchers around the world are highlighted.
The language will be Dutch. You are welcome at the Orangery Soestdijk Palace.
In the afternoon programme, organised by VSOP and ZonMw, we will discuss the significance for the Netherlands of two major European initiatives in the field of care and research: JARDIN and ERDERA. The target group of the afternoon programme is mainly patient representatives, care providers and researchers who are active at the European level and involved in the European Reference Networks (ERN).
The highlight of the evening program will be the presentation of the Rare Angel Awards to individuals or organizations that have made a special effort on behalf of patients with rare diseases. #ZZD2025
