The Rare Diseases Coordination Center of Vilnius University Hospital Santaros klinikos, together with the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University, the Lithuanian Society of Human Genetics, the Rare Diseases Foundation, the Rare Diseases Center of Riga Stradiņš University Hospital, and the European Reference Networks for Inherited Metabolic Disorders MetabERN, is organizing a conference dedicated to International Rare Disease Day, which will take place on February 27th at the Medical Science Center in the VUH Santaros Clinics campus in Vilnius (https://creativa.lt/event/retu-ligu-prieziuros-keliai-galimybes-ir-issukiai/#).
The event aims to discuss care pathways for rare diseases from the first symptoms to referral for diagnosis, specific and symptomatic treatment, long-term, comprehensive care and monitoring among multistakeholder community and to practically model care pathways for six rare diseases and groups of rare diseases.
The hybrid* conference will be held in Lithuanian and English.
